I have a background in ecology, evolution, and conservation. My experiences range from the arid and semi-arid ecosystems of North America and East Africa, to the aquatic ecosystems of Scandinavia. In 2025, I started my PhD education at Stockholm University’s Department of Environmental Science and Analytical Chemistry. I’m currently focused on the gut microbiomes of invertebrates in aquatic ecosystems and their responses to different environmental stressors. I am interested in the host-microbiome interactions, and how these contribute to the host’s capacity to adapt to stressors.
