An upcoming large-scale mesocosm experiment which is part of the EU funded “AQUACOSM” project will take place at Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) in Heraklion, Greece. It will focus on the toxicity of silver nanoparticles/ions to microbial plankton with metagenomics, based on previous results with viral and bacterial genome analysis. You can find details here: https://www.aquacosm.eu/mesocosm/cretacosmos/
It is now the time for interested users to apply for Transnational Access to the facilities at HCMR (next May-June). All travel expenses are covered for the whole duration of the experiment. Application deadline is 30th October. See here, https://www.aquacosm.eu/transnational-access/
